- William Anderson was probably born about 1701/02 to Capt. William and Dorothy (Dabney) Anderson in King William County, Virginia.
He was living in 1720 when his mother, Dorothy (Dabney) Anderson, a widow, gave him two slaves and in 1722, when his grandmother, Susannah Dabney Anderson, gave him a slave in her will dated 7 Mar 1722.
He died before reaching majority according to King William County chancery suit 1804-011 available from the Virginia Chancery Records Index on the Library of Virginia internet site. [1, 2]
